Andy (Sycho) Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 I did see this for sale on eBay, any questions just shout you will get plenty of advice on here. Where are you based? Quote
GaryR1983 Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 Welcome, I seen this advertised, looks a good project, Good luck with it Quote
Ian Kinder (Bagpuss) - Joint Peak District AO Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 Bonjour Nico, From the pics I saw, the engine looked to be mounted higher than it would be in an MegaS2000 chassis. @lloydox built his own S2000 with a standard SEiW chassis. Was the previous car registered or will it need an IVA (if you're in the UK)? As Sycho has stated, plenty of S2000 builders on here who can help you. Quote
Rednop1 Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 fully check the chassis i'm sure this car has had a crash ! Quote
nico78520 Posted November 8, 2017 Author Posted November 8, 2017 I already check the chassis and no problem following the accident as the casing yes the motor is up higher as it has to keep the original motor supports but I must check all these points one by one thank you for the Welcome Quote
jeff oakley Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 Hi Nico, I looked at this and the registration seemed to be strange and the advert vauge. I suspect it will need to be put through the IVA again if using in the UK and from what I believe is the case to register in France is very difficult almost impossible in some parts. My Brother lives in France and it is without doubt the most wonderful place to drive a Westfield 1 Quote

Actually, I don't think he did. My recollection is a wee bit hazy, but I thought Westfield, who hadn't had the S2000 chassis designed at that point, supplied him with a T5 chassis, which has the same sort of width tunnel as the S2000 chassis, but doesn't have the cut-away scuttle area to clear the bell housing. I just recalled his scuttle area wasn't the same! Quote
nico78520 Posted November 11, 2017 Author Posted November 11, 2017 Yes it is the same chassis and for the papers I'm not looking yet but I know how to do for France without too much problem 1 Quote

I know a few people who have then in France and return each year for MOT so they can be driven on English Plates. They say it is very difficult to do what you are saying. Quote
nico78520 Posted November 12, 2017 Author Posted November 12, 2017 Yes I know but I know of the world that makes the French approvals so simpler but for now I'm going to make a track car Quote
