Classic Vehicle (+Kitcar Hall) Restoration Show Bath & West Showground Shepton Mallet 4/5 November

The Classic Vehicle Restoration Show, Bath & West Showground, Shepton Mallet is on 4th & 5th November and it has a complete hall for kit cars. This is the third year it has included a kit car hall and was created as an alternative to the now defunct Exeter Show and the kit car side has been arranged by Complete Kitcar magazine.

I attended last year and it was a good show with the WSCC well represented by one of the local areas, I don't know which one as the local one Bristol & Bath is not currently operating. But there will be plenty of opportunity to buy parts, tools, trim and anything else as there are all the usual stallholders attending.

As it is only six weeks away and there has been no mention of it on the forum that I can see I thought I would bring it to the attention of the local members. Unfortunately as it is sort of tagged onto the Classic Restoration Show the kit car part of it only gets mentioned in the kit car press.

Full show details can be found at www.bristolclassiccarshows.com I will be sending a message to the Events Coordinator advising him of the event and asking for it to be put into the WSCC calendar.

Finally you can get 44% discount on the price of a pair of entry tickets by going to this link on Groupon https://www.groupon.co.uk/deals/gl-mortons-media-group-ltd-5

Will your car be on display in the hall?

That's the theory, should give enough time to get the registration through!

David,

Based on previous years, all drivers arriving in a classic or kit car are directed to the outside show area which has been right next door to the kit car inside area for the last couple of years, tin tops parking is outside the show gates.

Complete Kit Car are the organisers of the kit car area of the show, page 27 of the October edition invites applications for inside stands to adam@performancepublishing.co.uk.  The inside area allocated to the Dorset Area is already fully allocated but you might be able to get Adam to extend it for an extra car (although the whole building has been getting fuller every year since the invitation was extended to kit cars).  Cars on the inside area stands  have to be on site before opening and can't leave until after closing so it can be quite restrictive.

It's best to buy tickets in advance as you get a 20% discount - link is posted above

If you're interested, the Dorset area are currently holding their monthly meeting at the Rest and Welcome Inn on the A37 at Melbury Osmond, DT2 0NF at 8pm on the first Thursday of every month, so very close if you're South Somerset based.
