Onliest Smeg David Posted August 21, 2017 Posted August 21, 2017 Tyre fitter has just recommended Davanti tyres for the T5, 255/45R18 Anyone have experience of these please Quote
AdamR Posted August 21, 2017 Posted August 21, 2017 Currently being used as control tyre in one of the MX-5 race series. I doubt they are amazing but probably "good for the money"! Quote
Wilfman Posted August 21, 2017 Posted August 21, 2017 I have Davanti's on my Kuga - replaced Continentals (235/45 19) - and find them better all round (especially in the wet) than the Conti's. Managed to get all 4 fitted for £362 (http://www.checkpointautostores.com)...... half the price of Conti's. Been very impressed with them. Quote

Unrepairable puncture, but waiting to see if 2011 T1Rs still OK when taken out of a storage unit later today. Quote
Onliest Smeg David Posted August 21, 2017 Author Posted August 21, 2017 Thanks @Wilfman Tyre guy said they had good wet performance, Wouldn't recommend any other cheaper brands. At £106, £50-60 per corner cheaper than the Yoko/Avon on it at moment. Quote

Which means they will be offering incentives to anybody who can influence. Do you get on with your tyre fitter in such a way you know he will be telling you what's best for you and not for the business? Everybody here is a driver so again this is the bleeding obvious and with greatest respect, but as the boots are the things that might keep you on the road, are they not things to 'over spend' on..? Wilfman Posted August 21, 2017 Posted August 21, 2017 I get the point you are making but believe me, they are better than Conti's on my Kuga Quote
Onliest Smeg David Posted August 21, 2017 Author Posted August 21, 2017 Haha JK..... was wondering when someone would post that! And of course I'll pay whatever's required to get quality over price. I trust tyre guy, he openly doesn't like half the tyres he sells but has to sell them because numpties want them. Just interested as always open to new options. 1 Quote

Spent 10 years being forced to paddle in the cess pool that is the world of sales - I can't help it if my view of the world is 'less than trusting' Quote
