Stu Faulkner Posted July 25, 2017 Posted July 25, 2017 I have had an email from the organisers asking if we as a club are interested. Its a bit far for me but it looks like a good day out and its free Good day. I am writing on behalf of The Canberra Club. We are a sports and social club located just off the M6 Jct 31. Every Year we host a Car Show. Unfortunately last year was rained off due to the bad weather throughout the summer. However this year we are looking to bounce back bigger than ever. It is this reason why I write to you. I would like to invite you and your club to join us at our show. I have attached the event poster. Feel free to pass this poster on to anyone who may be interested. The Show is on Sunday 24th September, 11am - 4.30pm Club Stands are available so your club can park together and the Show is free to attend for everyone. Steve (stevel) Posted July 26, 2017 Posted July 26, 2017 Went to this first year with the Lancashire Area, not a very big show with not many cars there. They contacted me last year but we already had something planned. I will contact organiser to get more details. Steve 1 Quote
Stu Faulkner Posted September 4, 2017 Author Posted September 4, 2017 I have had an email from the organisers as they have cancelled the show.. Good Day, I am sorry to say that we have today made the decision to cancel the Canberra Car Show set to take place on Sunday 24th September. This is due to continuous bad weather throughout the summer when other events where being held on the field. The field has been damaged due to the bad weather to the point where we feel it will not recover or be safe to drive on in time for the show. This comes as disappointing news for everyone involved after having such a successful 2015 event and having to cancel last year. We may look into changing the date for next year to earlier in the year to try and avoid this happening again. I would appreciate if you could pass on this message to anyone who may have shown an interest in attending the show. My apologies once again Tom Hill Canberra Car Show Organiser Quote
