£2500 for the upgrade seems perfectly reasonable to me.

My first recently taken up hobby is cutting holes in my trouser pockets.

My second recently taken up hobby is lighting candles using £50 notes. :p  :p  :p    :sheep:

Stop it stop it, no take that stretcher away from me. geroff geroff

A nice Triumph Herald you mean?  :p

If they all want heritage why don't more order the seven with a BMC A-series and 60 BHP :0  :D

Don't remember K's on TB's being around when Colin Chapman was....

Its not about heritage, but about resale. If you spend £2500 having a Caterhum engine upgrade done then Caterhum will always buy/trade in the car at some later date. If you go to (say) Dave Andrews you can get much more power for much less money but Caterhum wont touch the car after that.

Nevertheless, £2500 for 20bhp is spectacularly poor value for money and I doubt that many people will go for it. It would be better to put that money towards buying an SLR (190bhp) or R400 (200bhp) in the first place

I've seen these adds in LF & what makes me :D is the way that c******m make out that this is a special limited supply offer :arse: GET IN QUICK B4 THERE ALL GONE :durr: .

Its not about heritage, but about resale.

I know what your saying Catering Van, but surely you don't buy a seven for it's resaleability, do you ??? .

Andy :p

. I bought mine because (like a lot of people) I've always wanted one.

Having said that though they do seem to hold their value quite well once they have gone through the initial 'from new' depreciation period, providing they are kept in good order.

Keep all the standard c******m bit, tune it put bigger engine in it and at resale time put it all back to standard and sell the tunned engine seperatly.

You may even get more of your money back than you thought.

Paul.

If I remember rightly Colin Chapman was famous for his inovation and development (remember the twin chassis)

so I think he would be quite proud of how Westfield had

developed the se7en concept to what it is today  :0

I really dont remember him sitting back on his laurels

saying the lotus 49 had HERITAGE and we should stay like that  :p
