Rockingham trackday August 3rd

Andrew

Recommended Posts

Myself and a few pals will be doing one of Rockingham circuit's own trackdays on Thursday August 3rd. A discount group has been set up, so we can have it for £175. (Full price, early booking £195, then £215) It's a noisy 105db day on the International Super Sportscar layout.

To book your place phone the circuit on 01536 270143, ask for Will Thomas and say you're with Steve Hewson's group.

I'm sure most folks would advise you try an airfield day for a first shot, .. not much in the way of arnco etc to hit, but if you drive sensibly there's no reason why Rockingham or any other circuit shouldn't be OK for a first timer.

what do i need to bring?

Driving licence and Crash helmet would get you on track. Best to ensure the car's fit though, check brakes tyres and an engine service perhaps..

Book a tuition session, ideally early in the day.  It will be the best money you will spend and will make sure you have the right lines and get the most out of the day.

so..... after thinking about it, I'm going to take a pass on this one and see about getting a day at the Bedford Autodrome(loads of run off areas).
