Captain Colonial Posted July 10, 2017 Posted July 10, 2017 @Andy Banks - Chairman Was the committee black helicopter out of service or just on duty spying on a certain member? Quote
Ianboom Posted July 11, 2017 Posted July 11, 2017 I'm currently learning the BMFA mandatory questions to take the A certificate flying RC helicopters. Think you may have violated the Air Navigation Order article 94 lol! (3) The person in charge of a small unmanned aircraft must maintain direct, unaided visual contact with the aircraft sufficient to monitor its flight path in relation to other aircraft, persons, vehicles, vessels and structures for the purpose of avoiding collisions. Andy Banks Posted July 11, 2017 Posted July 11, 2017 I did have unaided visual. And monitored it all the way until it hit the deck half a mile away Quote

So what if the aircraft does not respond to the remote control unit then? What does ANO say about this scenario? Quote
Ianboom Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 It says you're a very naughty boy and should stick to messing with Westfields! On a serious note, I've seen a few planes 'lost' over the years-last year one of my club members nearly lost £4k of jet, one of his elevator servos broke and locked, amazingly he got it back from over half a mile away.
