So with some last minute additions to the 30 year old pre lit.

I think I'm ready for my first event, just hoping some of you lovely bunch will give me a few pointers if I can accompany you round the track walk and also have a look to make sure I'm blue book compliant for scrutineering.

Feeling like a kid at Christmas.

See you all Friday

Great stuff, you're going to love it!

Timing strut, catch tank, yellow marked earth lead on battery and marked on-off for ignition should be all you need :)

As Terry says make yourself known when you arrive :t-up:

Don't worry Simon. The Derby and Notts crew will be on hand to look after you. Are you coming to The Clock tonight?

Hi @syman84

You'll be parked up next to me in Class 2A (Car 44 - Yellow, W500 plate) on Saturday. Happy to offer you all the support I can, as I was so well supported by others during my first events.

I'll be there from this afternoon (Thu)

Hi Simon

We have space at the Gluten Free Dinner at the local pub tomorrow night if you would like to join us?

I also have a space on the mini bus to get you there and back? (1st one leaves race track around 6-45 and the second one shortly after 7-00 pm

This will give you the opportunity to meet a lot of the guys and get some really useful insights into sprinting!

It kicks the w/e off in a good spirit we think!

Just let me know ASAP please

I will be at Blyton hopefully before lunch tomrrow

Hope to see you at the dinner?

Regards

Don't be shy to introduce yourself and ask any questions and there will be no shortage of help on offer at any time over the weekend.

If you mention to Panda who is the event organiser and on the speed series organising committee that it is your first event, I am sure he will actively make an introduction to a more experienced competitor.

Enjoy

I need a helper too ... preferably to take me in a golf buggy around the track checking lines as it is a loooong walk ;-)
