Nicky Grist Harness.....Any Good?

On the lookout for a new 6 point harness. Nothing wrong with my current "Westfield" standard 4 point ones but I just fancy the 6 pointer for the dirver side.

Ideally would like a Schroth ASM but they're expensive, then I came across this Nicky Grist one.

Never heard of the guy, his branded products but they seem flipping good value.

Any thoughts?

Nicky Grist was a famous Rally co driver

The belts may not suit the specific lengths for a Westfield

Try Playskool its good stuff

I bought my helmet from Nicky Grist -and went to Pontrilas to have it fitted.  Excellent knowledge, stock and service and very well respected in the world of rallying.  You can buy cheaper elsewhere (sometimes) but the differences in my helmet fit as the lining pads were fine tuned to my head was worth the modest extra cost, as was the advice with the FHR (Frontal Head Restraint) I bought at the same time.

The shoulder straps on the highlighted harness look a bit long for a Westfield - they have probably been specified to go into a saloon car for rallying.

Luke's are very good. The lap straps need an extender to get the adjusters away from the side of the seat. A bit of mild steel strap and some genuine seat belt bolts fixed mine for next to nothing. The lap belts are a bit long but get tucked down the side of the seat.  Feel much safer with the crutch strap funnily enough but it's well forward of the wedding tackle thank goodness!

Kev, these look OK. did you go for the upgraded aluminium adjusters or stick with the steel?

Any reason you went for 5 point not 6?

Might try and pop over for a look,

No I just bought the standard fittings.

I only went from 4 points due to the way they ride up on some people, and I didn't think they were too safe looking on my daughter when she comes in the car.

Only went 5 point as it's less new mounts to add to the car and it looked like 6 points might have a chance of getting stuck in the seat sliders :)

Just heard back from Luke, unfortunately Playskool have stopped supplying harnesses.

Going to have skeg at @CosKev 's new belts tomorrow.
