chazpowerslide
I know this should not really be here (I've posted in parts wanted too) but I really need a top mounted pedal box assembley complete (and master cylinder would be good too) for SE or SEi. I really do not want to have to build my own. There must be somebody out there who has one (please) Chaz.

Mark Stanton
Chaz A long shot but ............. Early Westfields (like my 1989) used an Escort MkII pedal box assembly which bolted into place ......... should be able to find one at a scrappy for a few quid ......... might be worth experimenting with if all else fails
chazpowerslide
I have a MK2 Escort pedal box Mark but to be fair it looked like a bit of a design after thought, like "Oh we need a pedal box.........um...........er.............b*****k* let's bolt THAT in" (points to Escort MK 2 pedal box and sniggers) IYSWIM I'd just like to bolt in a pukka Westfield jobbie and and sod the hassle but a new one is a little on the heavy side cost wise. I really can't justify the cost unless i can get a second hand one Plus the Pre-lit is now more SE than SE7, I'm using the SE column and it's different to the Pre-lit one so the Escort P'box no longr fits but a later one will. Mark Stanton
No, I think you're right Chaz it does look a bit "Heath Robinson" - thankfully mines enclosed in a fibreglass casing New ones look much nicer but as rare as hens teeth second hand ...... happy hunting
FATBOY
....if your car is built for an Escort pedal box, the Westfield one will not fit without major surgery.
chazpowerslide
Fatboy, if you listen carefully you can hear the whine of angle gringer and the crackle of mig welder. Major surgery hath taken place hence the dilema.
FATBOY
....yes, yes, I can hear the sounds of grinding, gnashing metal, chazpowerslide, you have truly liberated yourself from all things Escort and the word hath been spoken for all to hear and see..... windy
Don't you dare butcher an Escort one If you are going to fit an escort pedal box to something then make sure you are putting it in an escort!!!!
chazpowerslide
Back on the drawing board at the moment. I'm looking into floor mount pedals for my SE(i) so the Pre-lit may inherit the SE(i)'s pedals. Is there an aftermarket floor mount pedal set for the cable clutch?
