jeff the joiner Posted May 24, 2017 Posted May 24, 2017 With just over two weeks away before we set off on our trip to the West Coast of Scotland, (11th June) for those who are making the trip we could do with a bit of a get together to sort out final details Jeff Quote
John Dolan - Wirral & North Wales AO Posted May 24, 2017 Posted May 24, 2017 Jeff, As usual, can't we just follow you. John. Quote

Also we may have a spare place in our accommodation, so if anyone fancies a few days north of the border, please let me know. Quote
John Dolan - Wirral & North Wales AO Posted May 30, 2017 Posted May 30, 2017 Ordered my cockpit canopy.... just in case. Quote
jeff the joiner Posted May 31, 2017 Author Posted May 31, 2017 Not long now, just a reminder we will meet at Lymm services on the 11th of June at 8.30 am for the run up to our hotel, it only 425 miles, they will soon pass buy Jeff. Quote
Nic Chase (NICO) - Shropshire & Mid-Wales AO Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Got my cockpit cover ordered too, thanks John. Just in case there is rain. I know it's unlikely!! Quote
John Dolan - Wirral & North Wales AO Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Scotland preparations under way. WSCC tool roll sorted, hammer, adjustable and a pair of stilsons. Trial fit of the new cockpit cover tomorrow. Half hood and side screens packed already. Midge repellant. Unfortunately Sue can't come so looking for an alternative. All that's left is to kick the tyres, grease the nipples and tighten me nuts. Scotland here we come, pint of heavy for me. Quote

yellow perilous Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Good idea Jeff, perhaps we can have a meeting during the monthly get together next Tuesday. Midge repellent, I recommend Avon Supersoft midge repellent, used it last year and it worked well. Just got to do an oil change, check my nuts are tight and hopefully my car will be ready. Bollocky Bill, How did you get on with the carb rebuild on the mighty V8? Quote
John Dolan - Wirral & North Wales AO Posted June 1, 2017 Posted June 1, 2017 SU rebuild went fine, apart from losing this washer in my garage for 24 hours. You know how tidy my garage is. Quote
John Dolan - Wirral & North Wales AO Posted June 3, 2017 Posted June 3, 2017 Travel hair dryer, never thought of that. Currys tomorrow. Quote
yellow perilous Posted June 3, 2017 Posted June 3, 2017 No wonder they cost £800 each and only three were ever made, running hair dryers and straighteners as well as charging phones all at once. Do you think curling tongues are one step too far? Quote
jeff the joiner Posted June 4, 2017 Author Posted June 4, 2017 That reminds me, must pick up some ear plugs Quote
Nic Chase (NICO) - Shropshire & Mid-Wales AO Posted June 4, 2017 Posted June 4, 2017 Sorted the Avon super soft It seems to be a very large box for some insect repellent !!!! 1 Quote
