CraigHew Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 Managed a good 200 miles today as it was nice, sunny and dry. Discovered the A44 between Llangurig and Capel Bangor (bottom left section of the route shown) Really nice twisty road, recently tarmaced too. 5 Quote
Neil H Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 Nice. I should be doing 750 mile + trip that way next week with 2 others. Loop starting Builth wells, elan, snowdonia, angelsey, ty croes trackday, Llanberis, evo triangle, blenowfestiniog, black mountain road then back to Builth (I've probably misspelled all of them) over 4 days. Thinking we may be bitting off more than we can chew! What are traffic police lile throughout? We're going to be sensible but been warned all has become OTT Quote
RichieF Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 I lived in Machynlleth for 10 years surrounded by those roads...some of the best in the country! @CraigHew you're a lucky man! 1 Quote

Traffic Plod depends when you're going. The Evo is policed most weekends as that's when the "enthusiastic bikers / drivers tend to get up there, but Wales in general throughout the week is fine. I spend most of my Westfield time driving those roads on weekdays and see very little presence tbh. The easiest place to get nicked seems to be through the small villages at 30mph as most of the roads have fairly open views. The black mountain road is epic, although is now 40mph for its entirety. I got there very early one morning and had it to myself.... Quote

Neil H Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 Thanks craig for the tips We'll be on our outward part of the loop towards angelesy during the week and them return during the weekend. However, it's this bank holiday. I'm convincing the other guys to treat it as a scenic drive - only banzzai once on the track :-) Quote

They made the daughter, who became a mentalist. Still, better I found out before the big day and she ran away. I dont think it was me, I had a Westfield that was always costing money to fix, so the wedding was taking a long time to fund. Which saved my bacon ironically. God bless Westfields !! 1 Quote
