Jan Coombes
I have a Q plate so I can not get a private plate on it, but can you change your Q Plate for something else. Kinda like a private Q plate. I am after Q75 JPC, or Q48 BON

FATBOY
Q111CKY? ....it's an Oxford term prefixed with "do you fancy a...." and is directed at one's wife when you want to make use of those 15 minutes it takes the contact adhesive you've just put on your carpet set to become tacky. CateringVan
ISTR that if you can prove the ages of the key components (I guess chassis / engine / gearbox / maybe suspension) that they will re-register your car with a plate of the appropriate age. Eg if you have a 1985 engine and box in a 1995 chassis you may be able to get a 1985 plate for it, which makes it easy to get personalised plates for it. Proving the age of the bits might be tricky but you ought to be able to get the year of manufacture if you contact the manufactuer with the serial numbers

Mark Stanton
Even if it has already been registered as a "Q"......? Once a Q always a Q ........... except that soon you can buy a private Q plate
