Coast to Coast, East, Sunday 4th Sept.

The East leg of the Coast to Coast will take place on Sunday 4th September.

Starting at the Fox and Grapes at 10:30. We will head out towards York, then to Thirsk, up Sutton Bank through Helmsley, Pickering and on to Whitby. After Whitby, down to Scarborough and home along the A64.

It does not look like I will be going to Blackpool so I will do some of this trip with you.

Will you be passing the highwayman cafe at York as I could meet you there.

My planned route is to lave the A64 and go along the A19 to Thirsk, so we won't be going as far as the Highwayman, but we can meet up somewhere else.

A174, - through Whitby to the Abbey,

A171, - Scarborough,

A165, - through Scarborough, Marine Drive,

A165, - Filey, Country Park,

A1039, Muston,

A64, - York and Home.

 

This is 4 and half hours and 175 miles without stops,

Anyone can join or leave anywhere along the route.

Been keeping an eye on the weather today, and it looks like it will be OK, maybe a shower in the afternoon.

A slight change in the route, we'll be missing Thirsk and Sutton Bank and taking the B1363 to Helmsley.

I'll be at the Fox and Grapes at 10:15, so I'll see you there.
