Clan McWesty: Reservoir Dogs Run - 24th or 31st July 2016

Hi ALL

This run was first organised in June but it didn't go ahead due to low numbers, so here's another attempt to get it underway. July is generally a quiet month for us as many try to build up brownie points take their family holidays, and this year has been no exception. However, I'm announcing this run to gauge interest! It'll be as before ie take in the Megget and Talla reservoirs and the details are as below.

Note that there is a choice of dates, so please place your name under which date you prefer (put your name under both if you're not fussed)

Meeting #1: Sheriffhall Park'n'Ride

Time: 10:15

Meeting #2: Tesco, Eskbank (for fuel*) *Once fuelled, park to the left as you enter the main car park and we'll re-group there!

Time: 10:30

Route:

A7 onto B7007 just after North Middleton to Innerleithen

B7007 onto B709 to Gordon Arms

B709 onto A708 to Cappercleuch

Turn off at Cappercleuch for Megget and Talla onto Tweedsmuir

A701 north to Blyth Bridge then either carry onto Leadburn or detour to Peebles A72/A703 to Leadburn

Okay, so it's looking like the 31st is marginally the more popular and therfore that's now the date of this run! I will edit the thread title in due course.

Run confirmed: SUNDAY 31st JULY (see first post for details).

Given the forecast (I am looking out over the Moffat hills just now and is pretty dank) , probably just as well not going today, hopefully will be better next week, but sadly wont be able to join you.
