Carbon or plastic rear wheel arch protectors for "Kit" Bodywork

Hi All,

I thought, I had ordered the correct part from Westfield with their carbon effect rear arch guards arriving last Thursday. However, after trying them on my car (its a 2001 SEIW with what is known as "kit Bodywork, not ZK", apparently) and of course they do not fit. The part fits the rear arches just fine on the outer section, but the lip that turns up to join the bodywork is about an inch away from the body.

So, I need a solution, that will fit the kit bodywork. Does anybody have one they can sell me, or advise accordingly.

Cheers

Scott, if it's about an inch away have you not got the extra wide arches on? If this is the case then (as far as I believe) there isn't a stone guard you can buy that will fit around the arch.

My old man made one by cutting down some aluminium and wrapping it in carbon vinyl, and pitting some

Rubber U-channel round the edge. looks ok and does the intended job.

I think Chris has something similar? Or could just be carbon vinyl straight into body work?

I suspected this. Vinyl wrap it is for me then.

Thanks chaps.

Just received my arch protectors from Westfield today.  I have 'kit' bodywork and standard detachable arches.  The protectors fit mine okay.

Cheers Higgy,

I guess this seals it. Extra wide arches for me then.

Which is a good thing in a way, as I didn't know I had them, so would have probably bought some!!

Looks ok in orange anyhoo.

Thx
