TheHighlander123 Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 Good Evening lads, Just put a deposit down for my first kit car, picking it up on Saturday. A purple Westfield SEIW in purple(full roll cage 1.7 xflow with loads of goodies) from a member on here Chris Cooper. Making the journey from Inverness to just passed Penrith on Saturday morning. Always had fast cars, Escort Cossy, Evo 6/8/9, Imprezas, M3s. Just sold my Evo on Saturday and fancy a chance. Got alot of traveling to do this weekend. Saturday - Inverness to Penrith to get the kit car Sunday - Inverness to Edinburgh (Watch Scotland game) then onto Aberdeen. Monday - Fly to gatwick then off to New York (My 30th birthday) Come back Saturday and then its go out and play in the kit car haha. Look forward to meeting some of you and learning more about the kit cars in general. Quote

TheHighlander123 Posted March 7, 2016 Author Posted March 7, 2016 (edited) Nope it won't be easily missed, maybe do a colour change to put my own touch on it at some point. Comes with 2 additional sets of wheels, tyres and waterproof cover. I was only wanting a bike engined car. Not sure why either. Will maybe do the conversion one day but never driven a proper kit car so this may do the trick. Yep I'd be interested, will double check the dates with where I am working. North Coast 500 is a must, Always do Applecross a few times a year can't wait to do it in a kit car. Edited March 7, 2016 by TheHighlander123 Quote
David-hrv Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 Hi TheHighlander123, and welcome. Striking looking car you're getting there. Looks like a purple people eater! I live near Inverness too (there's a few of us now), so if you want to get together for a run out, let me know. Can't promise I'll be able to keep up with you though as yours looks a potent purple beast! David 1 Quote

I'm so excited lol I feel like a kid again, although the thought of turning 30 on Monday is a scary prospect. Quote

Kevin (Mr T) Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 Welcome. Drive the mighty crossflow and you will be smitten! 1 Quote
Kyle Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 Congrats and welcome. Totally different kettle of fish to Evos, Subaru's, M3's etc in terms or raw excitement and pure driving. Even with relatively little power they make driving a 400bhp Evo or E46 M3 seem muted and a little dull. All IMO of course. 1 Quote
Mighty Mart Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 Welcome. Drive the mighty crossflow and you will be smitten! Hello mate and welcome. I too am a new member and have a cross flow engined se. I'm sure other engines are just as much fun, and many on paper, have more power, and the bike engined westies look great BUT once you've driven a decent specced cross flow and fallen in love with the sound, you will be smittened lol... There's something raw about the older technology....sniffing the petrol and hearing the cards spluttering all adds to the enjoyment. Hope you have a blast mate and happy birthday for next week ...wish I was thirty again lol..... Mart. 1 Quote
TheHighlander123 Posted March 9, 2016 Author Posted March 9, 2016 Yea that was the reason I bought a Escort S2 RS Turbo last year, it was raw ect and loved it. Can't wait to pick this up Quote
