AdamR Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Afternoon all, So, I've been a trader on the boardroom for a few years now, initially offering GoPro, then also adding some car-related services towards the end of last season. Unfortunately, the European distributor for GoPro changed overnight (literally!) meaning my supply ceased, so I can no longer offer this product. However, for some time now I have been offering car setup (and associated services) to local members, and have now decided to turn that into a new business venture, CleaR Motorsport. Further details of the sort of thing I can offer can be found in this previous thread: http://forum.wscc.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic/115961-new-services-track-driving-instruction-car-setup/ I have recently taken delivery of a vehicle lift to aid with these services, and have made more of my time available to devote towards it. I currently have an MX-5 race car booked in for a full overhaul, an engine to build, a day of setup work, three days of instruction and three days of paddock support booked in, but there's always space for more! I can usually fit you in at short notice and most of the work is 'while you wait'. On that note, I have some special offers running to help everyone get their cars fully sorted in time for the lighter nights and hopefully better weather! Car setup / alignment / corner weighting: No 'first hour' fee, just pay for the time it takes, saving you £25 on every job until 31st March. A few people have asked why my hourly rate is so cheap compared to most - it's simple, lack of overheads. This is my second business and one of the main lessons I learned from the first was to keep overheads down. CleaR Motorsport operates from a unit I already own, using tools and equipment that is already paid for, so my costs are minimal. Driving instruction: £25 off any booking made before 31st March and 'completed' by 31st May. Full details of costs are in the link above, but with the discount that means a full day of tuition at Oulton Park for under £100. I've since added an intercom system to my set of 'tools' and this has made a huge difference to the quality of tuition I can offer. I guarantee you will find the day useful and be more equipped as a track driver by the end of it - if you don't feel this way then we can talk about it before payment is completed. Competition: Keep an eye out for a competition I will be running shortly, more details of that when available! So, if you have any enquiries please don't hesitate to get in touch, or take a look at my Facebook page to see what I've been up to: https://www.facebook.com/clearmotorsport/ Cheers Adam 4 Quote

KugaWestie Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 Time for some feedback on CleaR Motorsport. Yesterday a few of us from North Oxford Area did a track day at Rockingham. We approached Adam and asked if we could hire him for a day's tuition and share him between us. Adam was very enthusiastic from the initial approach and we agreed a cost. He then proceeded to speak to all drivers individually over the phone to gain an understanding of experience, strengths, weaknesses, areas for improvement, things we wanted to work on etc etc. After that had happened he then emailed all of us some "homework" to try and get us to prepare for the day. The day before the event, he sent us directions for the entry to the circuit, location of nearest fuel stations etc. We arrived at the circuit in good time (45 minutes before the safety briefing), to be met by Adam at our garage. He then proceeded to set up a table, helped us unpack and generally helped get us all settled in. The instruction through the course of my sessions (I think I had 5?) was very positive, encouraging and certainly helpful, not only installing confidence but also as the day progressed pushing me to new areas of driving, technique, speed through corners etc. At the end of every session Adam would then review what we had experienced, complete with explanations using a map of the track, sketches etc. Nothing was too much trouble, he had some tools with him, checked some camber angles on cars, spotted a loose nut on a front wishbone on one car, you get the idea. I think it is fair to say that Adam exceeded my expectations and I would have no hesitation in using him again Thanks for your efforts Adam, much appreciated mate. 7 Quote
Paul Gibney - Lancashire AO Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 +1 for Adam and CleaR Motorsport. But don't forget he is a Lancashire boy and we might have to start charging a rental fee... That ok with you Adam...... 1 Quote
Oily Steve Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 I also would like to add some feedback. I went up to Adam's unit on Friday to get my new wide track and dampers set up. I was impressed with Adam's attention to detail, knowledge and enthusiasm and would therefore be happy to recommend him. Quote
