Geoffrey Carter (Buttercup)
Hello Team. The museum now has details of those attending as detailed in post 20. The museum is also aware there may be another three cars. This is what needs to happen on the morning of the show. We all meet in the B & Q carpark which is only a few minutes from the museum. The B&Q is on Hull road in York and the postcode is YO10 3LE. We need to leave B&Q at 9.15am so that we are at the museum no later than 9.30am. We will travel down in convoy and we will have entry to the museum before the general public is admitted. This is so that our cars can be set up in the designated show area before the museum opens. In The B&Q carpark, you will all need to give me that £8.00 admission fee in cash. I will then give the money in one lump sump to the museum staff so that all the cars can gain entry in one go as there is not much time to set us all up. Can you please have the £8.00 in the correct money. This has been organised with the museum and they are aware this is how it will happen. Here are a few pictures of our designated show area. A big thank you needs to go to Ian Richardson who works for the museum for permitting this to happen on what is one of their busiest event days. Robin Parker (Red Spider) - Yorkshire AO
Might sound like a daft question, but are we parked on grass or tarmac?
Geoffrey Carter (Buttercup)
Hi Robin We are on the tarmac. I tried to show the surrounding sides. It is the big tarmac square that the historic vehicles are parked on.
Robin Parker (Red Spider) - Yorkshire AO
That's OK, it's just that I might have something to stick into the ground.
Geoffrey Carter (Buttercup)
I have a metal base that can go on the tarmac.
Robin Parker (Red Spider) - Yorkshire AO
I've got a banner and made some spikes to go into the ground. But I've got other options too.
