Formy
I have a Superchips Bluefin for the VW / Audi 2.0 TDI taking the 140bhp to 170bhp with the advantage that you can put the standard map back, read diagnostic codes and / or immobilize the car. Would like in the region of £200 + postage
Tim Reid
Which model did you have? Does one work on different cars? Looking at the bluefin website you order your specific car but this might just be a marketing thing.
Formy
Hi Tim, I had an Audi A3 2.0 TDI but reading up the software sends your chassis number to the Superchips server, which then sends you back the exact map required so I don't think I can sell it. It's £225 for a reset!!
Tim Reid
Shame. I would like a bit more oomph from my VAG box. £225 for a reset! Ouch! Kinda makes them worthless second hand.
Formy
Yeah apparently superchips will give you £25 for the handset. Might reset it and use it for my BM, an extra 33hp but need to finish the Westy power upgrade first
kevip6
Depends how old it is, you can reset it for free in the first year I think.
