Onliest Smeg David Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 I'm looking for a good condition or new upgrade for my Westfield original year 2000 zetec polo radiator. I don't currently have real 'issues' with cooling, although fan does come on pretty frequently, but would rather play safe with hot weather and slow traffic or track use. Radtec have a 4+ week lead time at the moment Does anyone have something they're not using? What alternatives are there to Westfield or Radtec supplied radiator? Please PM me if you are able to help.
AdamR Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 Thought about ducting it in Dave? Usually makes all the difference...

Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 Coolex were at Stoneleigh recently, with a range of Polo/Radtec rad equivalents. Very keen introductory prices at the moment and they seemed to have quite a bit of stock - I know a few people that went for the standard 50mm core and that have been really pleased with it. (I recently went for their heavy duty 70 odd mm core version, again, as Radtec had quite a lead time and Westfields heavy duty version was still undergoing final design tweaking).
Rory's Dad Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 You admit to thinking about it but have you actually done it 1
SootySport Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 Rally Design do an all alloy Polo style rad as well.
Greenstreak-Andy D Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 Agree with Dave, my Coolex polo replacement rad held engine temp at a steady 90 when thrashing my duratec westie around Oulton Park on what must be one of the hottest days of the year! Last Tues ambient temp were high 20's!! Andy
