Petrol is always good for getting the sticky off,

Pick or rub all the bulk of the sticky stuff away first and then petrol works a treat to get rid of the adhesive

Defo don't use WD40 on GRP - Petrol is the best all round one.

If you roll up some masking tape on the sticky side out round your fingers, the rub the area with that, it removes the majority of sticky residue. This is the method we used to use in the paint shop! ;-)

A great thread perfectly timed as I need to take off and replace my front stick on.

Anticipating lots of old residue.

Thanks to all who offered suggestions.

For me the thing is, why use aggressive chemicals on your PAJ, when d-limonene (the active ingredient in label remover) is basically just the oily extract from the skin of oranges?
