I have been advised that we need a a set of red lights for the Marshall's  to trigger should we have an incident on the last corner.

does anyone have a set of lights we could use?

many thanks

John

I am happy to make something that could be powered from a 12v car battery if that would help.

Do you have a spec?

How far will the Marshalls be from the light?

Do you need one light or a pair?

How high off the ground ? etc

the marshall post is too far from the track for the driver to see...

This was what I was thinking.

i'm attending site next week to measure up and see for myself, and be able to answer your questions

there is no spec defined by the MSA,  but it will be daylight so the light must be seen so something high intensity.

cheers

I've just replaced a pair of indicators and a pair of brake lights on the ASBO. The old units are free to the cause if they are any use, they are the round units.

The ones in use on other tracks are traffic light size and normally 2 off them. Very bright of course.

I know what we can use....

Lights off a level crossing. There is one nearby that never seems to be used properly, i could take em off for the weekend then replace them on Monday morning because that would be stealing if I didn't. I could even fetch the buzzer and barriers :-)
