Lawrie
I can't understand why it wasn't won by a footballer, after all, TV sport means football, and not some bat and ball game played by rich people in silly clothes. F1 seems to fall through a gap, largely thanks to Bernie (did I really say that?), but LH did beat a German and the 1966 spirit prevails (they don't know Rosberg's dad is Finnish)
M444TTB
Isn't there usually a team award? Football and other team sports seem harder to really stand out as an individual. I'm not really into football but there are a few racent players I've admired. One of those was Ryan Giggs but his winning of the award a few years ago seemed odd. Definitely one for a lifetime achievement award at some point along with (probably after!) Jonny Wilkinson.
