Kezman Posted October 29, 2014 Share Posted October 29, 2014 As title says really. Must admit I was going to sorn mine and get get my 5 months road tax back for Nov. But.......it's still very mild so might leave it all way through Nov I think. My personal situation is, that my Westy at my house, is not garaged and so lives underneath a cover on my drive. When the weather does turn really nasty I tend to take it a couple of miles up the road to my parents place ( they have a small holding farm) and I can get it some proper cover in an out building......but when it does go, it stays there until April 1st. So I'm finding while there is a chance with the weather, I'm wanting to hold on to it. Just curious who lays up and when...... And who goes right through for that matter? dhutch Posted October 29, 2014 Share Posted October 29, 2014 Not as such laid up, but I have not got the engine back in since failing the roll-pin in the top of the gearbox! - Normally however I dont laid up at all, and go out atleast every 4-6 weeks even in winter. I've always had mine on the road all year round, in the aeroscreened days, I'd get over a thousand miles in over winter. In the windscreened, roof'd and heater form I got between two and two and a half thousand miles in over the last few winters. If you've never experienced the feel of a Westfield, almost supercharged by the denser crisp cold air of a really chill winter morning, you should definitely try it, it's one of those great little motoring pleasures! 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

May be off road for a month or so but no hard and fast rule. Last year and this year went on trackdays in February whne it was dry, sunny but very cold.
