Cleggy the Spyder Man
cannot quite believe some of the suggestions posted, although I am sure they are in jest (I hope)
iain m
I watched a programme some time ago called something like " neighbours from hell" the subject spent every waking hour devising ways to inflict damage and grief and resulted in a house burning down whilst the occupants were asleep. Scary stuff all staring from trampolines and dogs barking and the victims treated badly by police and local councils. I witnessed a breaking and entry to a neighbours house many years ago, I called the police and gave them the name of one of the culprits, if you attend do NOT come around to my house afterwards as a display of who contacted you. They caught both of them, them with them handcuffed in the back they parked their car outside my house with the blue lamp flashing before knocking on the door, brilliant. Three month later I attended as a witness, the culprits and their extended dysfunctional families were all in a waiting room which I was required to sit in with them for almost an hour. Miraculously there was no come back, I am not sure that would apply today.
Lyonspride
But... For this woman to react like she did in the first place has to make you wonder if she has a good grip on reality. Could she be suffering a mental condition? Remember these folk have no limits and each time they are bested, they come back harder and nastier. And also they don't escalate in small steps. It can go Postal with no warning. Is our own pride at being 'beaten by the nutter next door' really more important than the risk of a false pedo claim or God forbid your car being fire bombed..? Exactly this, she's got a screw loose, long term unemployment can do that to people and she's probably seething about "the guy next door that thinks he's better than me". The camera stays up, it's barely visible, covered the LED on the front, fabricated a bracket to hold it in place by hooking over the window when closed, short of climbing on the roof it's the highest point of the house, so it gets a pretty good view of the parking area and all of my car if I park a foot or so from the kerb. Time lapse motion detection, takes an image every 2 seconds IF it detects movement. I think covert is better than causing the whole thing to escalate. There is already an inactive CCTV camera downstairs on the wall overlooking the back garden, has been for 6 years, so its not as if i'm being secretive. I might put some notes through doors and speak to some neighbours about my car being vandalised, no details but it'll turn half the street into a bunch of curtain twitching potential witnesses My neighbours on the other side know most of the street, so i'll start with them, will also try to find out who her landlord is. Westfield, locked in garage and will never be left unattended outside again. I might actually go postal if she ever lays a finger on that.
