Paul Morcom
Ok.... a question for the observant ones who spent some time queuing on the A11 Elveden bypass on Sunday..... on both sides of the road about 100 yard intervals about 12feet from the edge of the carriageway there were smallish constructions made from blocks of timber say 8"*5" *3 feet long 4 or 5 bolted together in 2 plies and connected by some sort of box section about 4 feet long and 6"*2" in section. Really curious as to what they are there for......nothing more :-) Bat bridges
Garry Bunn - Derby & Notts Joint AO
Google came up with a reference to bat bridges but said these (about 6 of them) were to help the bats cross the carriageway. (and stop them hitting cars!) I think they are made of netting. The things I'm on about run parallel with the road and are about 8ft long in total and 2ft high........and there were lots of them. alexander72
they might be deer barriers with reflectors on the back
pete g
it probably why the road is taking so long to build
Paul Morcom
Bat barriers then, stops them flying in front of cars and lorries.
