been having  some serious and not so serious discussions recently about death and what happens when the lights go out

my buisness buddy reckons when you die its not all over and there is a after life or summat happens and he reckons its not all over ,i kind of understand what he's saying but im unsure ,i dont mind admitting dying worries me but im not sure if i will think the same when my times up

so what are your thoughts on death and dying , do you reckon there is another wierd wonder or summat after death ,or you come back as a slug or a duck

Don't believe or understand why once we die there should, could or would be anything else... just sayin'

Anyways, my idea is to have all my precious metals extracted (from me and not my pockets or back of the sofa as SWMBO has that already) and incorporated into material to make an engine for a super-car or race car - if we have such things when my time comes.

I reckon our soul of sorts must go somewhere but you aren't going to know about it so don't worry.

As Basil Fawlty said 'Woooomph' what was that? Your life! Can I have another go? Nope that's your lot!'

Remember that and all will be fine!

As long as we live a life that endears us to others and brings them joy that they share in stories with others, we live on forever.

I'd imagine being dead is a lot like before you were born

Why spend your life thinking about death. In doing so you are already dead

Probably nothing after, but I'm no rush to confirm either way.

On a more serious note I 'came out' as an non-believer to my very religious parents at Easter. Perhaps not the best time to pick but seemed appropriate at the time. Think my Mum was a bit sad that I thought there being something else was unlikely and wasn't going to live my life worrying about it. I'm definitely around an 8/10 on the 10=there definitely is no god scale.
