There was a chap in a recent CKC magazine who had built a replica Lambo.  He had owned an original but the running costs and insurance had been horrendous.  The replica looks the same, performs the same but costs a fraction to run.  On this basis I could understand the reason behind doing it.

What I like is that at least we are allowed to build things still. Yes some of the past creation have been eyeball searing bad, however, as Dave said, the work that has gone in does not sometimes reflect the end result.

Choice is the key, if you want a Bulldog or a Rickman Ranger for a few hundred pounds, if it is what they want and are happy great. If you can afford an Ultima equally great. I like the diversity of what there is out there as even for a hardened Westfield man there are only so many 7 type cars to go around
