ziplob
well we did plan this event so we should be sticking to it as its combined with the Borders 7s , not a good start to the blatting season.
Rab (bombero) Reid
We decided to put a few more runs in than we had last year to give people more of a choice and to be as flexible as possible. Certainly nothing stopping those that are ready to run getting out there and blowing away the winter cobwebs, lol! This way, if someone can't make a run, they're not having to wait a whole month before the next one. Hopefully a few well be able to get together. Unsure if the Border7s have confirmed any takers for this one - need to check with WeeDov.
Notanumber
I'm up for the 13th. Hopefully this disgusting weather will be a distant memory by then. If not it will be a test for my eBay hood.

Rab (bombero) Reid
Unfortunately, I've not been able to devote as much time to getting mine back on the road as I'd hoped so I'm also out. theprisioner
From: Neville Mackay [mailto:neville.mackay@btinternet.com]Sent: 06 April 2014 21:16Subject: Borders Sevens Run Sunday 13 April Hi Everyone Our first run out of the year is on Sunday 13th. We are starting the run in Edinburgh, in the hopes of attracting more of our central belt members. The meeting point is the Sheriffhall park and ride car park at 11.00. The car park can be found on the A7 heading into Edinburgh, about half a mile north of the Sheriffhall roundabout. This is a joint event with the Westfield Club, so there should be decent turnout of vehicles. And the weather forecast looks to be improving. However, in the event of a truly dire weather forecast we will postpone the event and run it the following weekend. I will send an email on Friday night confirming that the event is on in the light of what the weekend forecast looks like. I have yet to confirm full details of the route with the Westfield boys whose idea the route is. However, my understanding is that it will encompass a coastal leg via Gullane and North Berwick. We then cut inland onto the Gifford-Preston hill road. At Preston we then turn towards Eyemouth where we can stop for an ice cream and fish and chips. People can then return via either the direct route on the A1 or, for the driving enthusiasts, via the Duns-Carfraemill road and thence the A7. I hope to see as many of you as possible on Sunday and don’t shoot me if the route turns out to be a bit different from that advertised! If you think you are likely to attend, I’d be grateful if you could let me know in order to give me a feel for likely numbers.
