Model Westfield

Thank to everyone who has looked at this little project.

Not thought too much about replicating the model.

3D printing would mean stripping it down to it's componant pieces to make the body, then all the other parts would need to be made as well, such as the 'screen, seats and wheels etc. I also think a printed body would need a lot of cleaning up to make it look good as all the printed things I've seen are not the cleanest things I've seen.

As for converting a Tamiya kit as I've done there are a number of problems. First is finding the kit, they now seem to be in short supply, I couldn't find one for a long time, getting mine from a model show, then the engine. The Pre-crossflow can be easily converted to a crossflow, but other engines, Pinto, Zetec, MX5 and Vauxhall arn't available in kit form. Wheels also, aftermarket wheels are out there but getting the right ones would be almost impossible. I was lucky as I had some Minilights from a MGB that I could use.

Having said all this, if anyone wants to have a go at building one, I would be more than happy to help out with any advice and hints and tips to make it go easier.

Forgot this, if anyone would like to see any more of my models, just say and I'll add a couple of photos from time to time.

After taking the model to last weeks club meeting I thought I'd show a few of my other builds, hope they are OK.

Really nice work Red Spider, especially the GTA. I made the Lotus Super Seven kit way back when. Used to specialise in making 1/20th F1 kits and if time and space permitted I'd be back to doing that (I've got a ridiculous number of unmade F1 kits in loft).

My favourite is the Jordan 191 colour scheme and I have often thought of getting the westfield vinyl wrapped like this. Here's one of the arty photos I took (looking back its about 8 years ago!). How time flies. Keep up the good work and keep model making.

All really nice, and very impressive. What scale are the Neoplan and Routemaster? And are they scratch built?
