Andrew Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 Guy Martin's new series starts Sunday, 29th, Ch4 8pm. Saw a trailer last night, it looks interesting. http://www.channel4.com/programmes/speed-with-guy-martin/episode-guide Quote
Ian Podmore Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 Looks interesting. Some good Sunday evening viewing for a change. Quote
alexander72 Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Guy martin I mean - great television :-) Quote
jeff oakley Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 The guy is a serious adrenelin junkie. But what a nice guy and dedicated. I also liked the truck racer, drifting the truck with 1200bhp took a lot of skill. infact the whole team he had on his side was fantastic. Makes me wonder how fast he could have gone on tarmac Quote
XTR2Turbo Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 I like the bloke but thought the whole exercise was a bit pointless just being suckedalong in the vortex off the lorry I was impressed though that the lorry could move that drag along at 120 mph. I bet the front wheels got a bit light Quote
Steve_Farrimond Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 another classic bit of telly chief Quote
WINGNUT Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 Yet too watch been recorded! Guys a truck mechanic and TT hero, the peoples champion! seriously quick guy and talented! also hilarious too! Quote
Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 Really enjoyed the program, certainly looked to be giving every last drop when he goes for it. Comes across really well on TV too, very natural. (I've not watched any of the other stuff he's done, will have to keep an eye out for it.) Quote
alexander72 Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 I like his hair cut and his mutton chops. And, in seriousness, if anyone has seen his TT DVD close to the edge it shows what a skilled set of professionals the road racers are... on another level IMO 1 Quote
alexander72 Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 its one dvd that put me off getting a bike Quote
peterg Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 its one dvd that put me off getting a bike You don't have to ride like a nutter James.... though giving it some over the mountain is fun even on a road bike two up the 1990 IOM TT was part of the honeymoon Quote
