Mark (smokey mow)
Ulikely i'm afraid. With a modern engine (in my case mazda) i contacted their homologations department and they were able to (for a fee) provide me with the original chassis number of the car the engine came from, however with something as old as a crossflow I doubt that would be possible and probably not every manufacturer would offer such a service. FWIW crossflows were most commonly fitted to Mk1/2 Escorts, Mk2/3 Cortinas and the Mk1/2 Capri. They also appeared in the Mk1 Fiesta XR2 but being front wheel drive the block has a slightly different casting design so it's unlike you'd find an XR2 engine in a Westfield.
