FILFAN
i'll speak to my buddy and buzz you later Dave - looking at building a chassis up with a friend for not next year the year after - just not sure which way to go engine wise. James you would be wise to look at buying the complete setup less any bits you already have. you would save £500 in rolling road sessions alone
alexander72
I know filfan mate - im trying to put together the deal with a buddy who has had a jedi in the past - a few ducks need lining up but we have a chassis and potentially an option on a BEC or a CEC - just need to work it all out
Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman
Whilst it would be a shame to split - given the development time the package has had. I don't mind splitting, with one proviso! The engine itself needs to go first. Beyond that, am happy to put a "mix and match" package together with as few or as many of the ancillaries as possible. Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman
Right, the engine's now out of the car, so I'm afraid the opportunity to see running etc has passed. Likewise realistically, the opportunity to buy as a complete ready to go package. I'll get it cleaned up and photographed over the next week or so and will be converting back to wet sump ready to sell the bare engine. With all the rest available sepperately. FILFAN
Mine also came out today. There must be something in the air
griffith500user
Slightly off topic, but where does the top hose on your header tank tee into? As I'm planning to finish off my cooling system with the same header tank as yours this week.

Yep, it is. Plus all the bits have had nearly ten years of fettling/development to make sure they work together, well. Thats what it hurts most to see lost. Because I know how much blood, sweat and tears let alone cash, went into developing the package. Ah well, that's life!
FILFAN
I dread to think how much mine has cost me to develop too. I feel your pain buddy
the stoat
It really was a bargain when I add up how much mine would cost to do and it has a good bit less power than Dave's. But vulture mode on still interested in the dry sump
jaik
I'm interested in the exhaust manifold, how much are you looking for?
Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman
Sorry, missed this completely. I'm interested in the exhaust manifold, how much are you looking for? This is a Simpsons bonnet exit manifold, as you can see. Price new, in the last bulk buy, would have been £726, (plus £324 for the silencer) Apart from the usual heat colouring, condition of the manifold is perfect. Looking for £350 delivered (mainland UK, not Highlands/Islands etc). (Don't confuse this with a "cosmetic" upgrade system. It was designed for serious power and good spread of torque. It's based on SBD's XE dimensions, but with some tweaks to the lengths by Bob Jones at BJ Engineering in Trafford Park, Manchester. A well known XE specialist in competition circles). I'll take some photos of the silencer later, as it is showing some marks from use. (It's quite low mounted, so does catch the odd bit of crud flung up by the front wheels). It also had to have it's mounting point re-welded/replaced after it started to fracture a couple of days before a Speed Series round, a few years back. The silencer has been absolutely fine since though. The silencer was repacked a few yeas ago, (while I was doing the Speed Series) and passed scutineering fine. Looking for £150 for the silencer, delivered. (Again, mainland UK, not Highlands/Islands etc).
