Norman Verona Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 Gary, looks like there's a buyer HERE Get in quick my son. 1
User0083 Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 Sounds like a lovely car, I've told Adam about it too... I really like the wheels and all the REAL carbon. Will I need to buy a new hat? 1
Dodgey Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 What's the power at the wheels/flywheel? Be nice to see some more pics
MrL Posted August 24, 2013 Author Posted August 24, 2013 HI, It was dyno'ed at 198 BHP on twin 45 Webers by the previous owner. I have got it on R1 carbs now and it certainly feels quicker. Whether that is just quicker revving or it is more powerful I don't know, but it does feel better than when on Webers.
graham b Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 i know this car, its seriously quick and in good condition a good buy for some lucky person. good luck with the sale gary 1
Boombang Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 Can I please ask why the swap to R1 carbs?
peet Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Is it still available? If I cant get a very good price at the one I'm seeing on Wednesday I'll be interested...
peterg Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Sod it not going Wednesday I want this!! very good choice in my opinion compared to that one on eBay, this one is well setup and has all the right bits on it but with plenty of scope to put your own mark on it too 1
MrL Posted September 12, 2013 Author Posted September 12, 2013 Can I please ask why the swap to R1 carbs? Because they go out of tune far less than Webers / Dellortos, and give arguably better fuelling with a bit more economy too. I think the engine revs cleaner and quicker now, whether it makes more power or not I cant say.
MrL Posted September 12, 2013 Author Posted September 12, 2013 Sod it not going Wednesday I want this!! Yes it's still for sale, hopefully you'll buy it tomorrow Peet
MrL Posted September 14, 2013 Author Posted September 14, 2013 It's still For Sale, a bit quick for a Westy newbie apparently.
Speed Freak Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 can not understand why this car hasn't sold- not everyone can be put off by a red nose can they? think its a cracker for the money.
Rab (bombero) Reid Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 Is this still for sale? Seeing a mate tomorrow and will show him this ad!
