SEiGHT
At the top of page 5 on the SS2003 rules PDF Steve sent out it says... "In all classes roll-cages must be fitted..." Now while I'm assuming that a roll-bar is sufficient based on past conversations, I wouldn't class a roll-bar as a roll-cage myself so am a little concerned. Does the MSA blue-book define a roll-cage as including roll-bars ?
Graham.J
It's a typo, as far as I know you can still use the original bar westfield supply for the speed series so no a full cage is not mandatory, just something to protect yer bonce if you do go t*ts up Regards
Mark Stanton
Yep a roll bar is fine - used the term roll cage as opposed to roll bar so as not to get confused with anti-roll bar which is something completely different and also not mandatory
SteveD
just be carefull with the standard westfield roll hoop ( without diagonal or rear braces ) some scroutineers won't allow you to run with standard roll hoop ,and for your own safety you should fit a braced cage ( with diagonal and rear braces ) if you should topple over the hoop as a tendancie to fold flat
