steppenwolf
Is it just me or is there a problem with the the main WSCC site? All I get if I go to www.wscc.co.uk is the front page and '404' error of domaindomain.co.uk I know that the boardroom is now hosted by ggr.net but thought that the rest of the site was still hosted at the original ISP? Clicking on 'WSCC Website' at the top of this page causes the same re-direction and error message, so I have not entered the detail incorrectly in my browser! Wassup?? bill shurvinton
Nope lots of us have it. I can get in at work, not at home. Steve richards posted the following on se7ens.net: The WSCC boardroom can be accessed currently only using the following URL:- http://wscc.ggr.net/cgi-bin/BB/ikonboard.cgi For some reason, the usual address: www.wscc.co.uk/boardroom.htm is failing and resulting in the 'domaindomain.co.uk' and '404' error message. The reason that you are getting OK on one machine and not the other is most likely because you have added the domain name to your 'favourites' page on the 'working' machine at a later date than the 'non-working' machine and the system has picked up the later URL. Much better than I could have phrased it Bill
ACW
You are right. The main site is (might be was soon) hosted by another ISP who took it upon themselves to move the site to another server and during this process took the main site down. Throught this period the message board was availiable directly to those who have it in thier favorites. No downtime on my network There is a mirror if the www.wscc.co.uk site at wscc.ggr.net which can be accessed in times of ISP troubles. I am investigating the costs of moving ISP for the main site to ensure a proper 24X7 operation.
