markc555 Posted March 20, 2013 Share Posted March 20, 2013 I'm with Ben(99W) on this. Get yourself a petrol V6 or preferably V8 If fun is any part of the equation the 4 banger oil burners are out. Worthy and indeed adequately fast but not fun in any way. A multi-cylinder petrol will entertain through it's silky engine note even at walking pace and will make you grin from ear to ear at higher revs. At the low annual mileage you'll be doing do fuel costs will still be bearable. I'd avoid after-market boosted turbo engines, petrol or diesel, if longevity is important to you. The 2.7 V6T engine is particularly prone to spectacular self destruction when boosted.
