I had a half hood,

Used it two or three times, lent it to a mate, he then sold it on eBay for £150 behind my back... Sold it as new, when it was 7 years old and well used by previous owner of my car.

However, half hoods are good, but I've almost always had a soft top and unless raining the roof's always down, which is only reason I didn't use it. Although since the spineless weasel sold it I've thought about how useful it would be!

Sounds like he owes you a new one then!

Don't worry, he drives an illegal car. Took plates, tax and V5 off a yellow "Broken" car which he bought to get his through SVA'd, and phoned up to change colour and put plates on. Then asked me, as I get on well with the guys at Westfield, if they could put the VIN on his chassis. His plan was to replace the bits that were marked and say they were damaged.

I was going to report it, but he then said he would SVA his, just use plates/tax for a bit as MOT would be due and it wouldn't pass an MOT without a VIN, I never spoke to him till I saw my parts for sale on eBay, now police have been informed, last I heard car was removed for inspection. I sent photo's of him in his car in different locations even driving it through a tight gap. I guess it's difficult to wiggle your way out of trouble when you own a unique car.
