jonclancy Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 Here's a quick one for all you folks heating cold workshops etc: We're having a birthday do here in a few weeks and have borrowed a small marquee for the event. Seeing as it's cool/cold at the moment, and that I want teenagers OUT of the house, I suppose I ought to heat the thing!! Hiring is pricey and it seems cheaper to buy a unit or two. Then I get to use them in the garage afterwards!! Propane or Kerosene heaters cause condensation, so was thinking about a couple of 3KW fan heaters (on separate circuits). I found a group test in Auto Express, but was wondering if anyone had any recommendations to offer? i do have a dehumidifier to run at the same time, if I was to use gas or kerosene, though. I suppose there is a safety POV to consider, too. I wouldn't want anyone falling over a burning gas heater, so maybe an electric with auto-shutoff would be a safer bet? http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/accessories-tyres/36143/heaters-tested Thanks all.
