Patchs A.I and the NHS ?.
Richard (OldStager) replied to Richard (OldStager)'s topic in Stuff & Nonsense
Hmmm, goes against all I believe in , however this new group appear to be no more than a go between for appointments etc, I know the NHS are on their knees, but have they got so bad they can't even handle taking appointments now ?. Together with the message yesterday was a missed phone call, I rang it back and an automated message said they would call ME back... -

As someone who hates doing the same job twice, agree with @joolz, my last lot of of unbranded "supposed" Ethanol proof pipe lasted 3 years... Yes the named ones are more expensive but thats's for a reason - they work. -

Motor factors might not be the best place .. many still seem to be selling that generic hose that fails within a year of e10 use. Bite the bullet and go with cohline or gates ethanol proof if you can ? -
It’s reached the stage where it’s largely impractical to avoid having our personal data spread far and wide and risk being hacked. Even the most supposedly safe and secure places clearly aren’t either of those things. My former employer got hacked a while back, along with a bunch of other big players, due to one of their contractors getting compromised. They gave me a free account on Experien so I could see if anything nasty happened as a consequence, but that was it. I’m still waiting for Experien to get hacked Any additional presence increases the risk, but I’ve pretty much taken the view that the ship has sailed and there is no going back. Doesn’t stop me being as careful as I can be of course, but I don’t let it get in my way.

Just thought I would check…. I need to get a set of wheels and tyres collected from Hereford and delivered back to Crewkerne or somewhere near. Does anyone travel that way who could help for a decent quantity of beer tokens? 😊 Let me know! Cheers, Stu -

Following on from the above… Just ventured into the garage and turned the fuel pump on. Petrol sprayed out of the flexi-pipe that feeds the carb, so I’m hoping that’s the only issue. Have removed that (to see multiple splits) and am now off to the motorfactors for a nice new one. Fingers crossed the car will be up and running later today for its debut trip of 2024. -

Thanks to everyone who replied. Very fortunately a member who lives close to me saw this post and ended up selling me his Westfield! I am the proud new owner of @RX05s 1800 zetec. This car is a credit to its previous owner and is immaculate! So thanks again Hoping for many happy miles in this over the next few months 😎 -

Great!- We're still crazy 😁 Sadly the few train dates in and out of Austria mean we won't be in Italy over a weekend- As you can see we leave on the Sat, but you could drive on the Sat morning with us? It's only about 2.5 hours to Innsbruck from our Hotel, so we can go Pass Blatting on Saturday morning too with you. Passo Giau is on our list as well as - passo costalunga, Passo Falzarego, Passo Fedaia, passo Gardena, Passo Monte croce, Passo Sella, Passo Stelvio & Gallerie Passo San Boldo -

Just seen this post - I run a trailered transport business and £950 - £1000 isn’t far off due to ferry and will be an overnight stay due to tachometer (if they run compliant) and make sure they’re compliant!! And have the correct insurances in place! -

Started the Westie for the first time in about 6 months. All seemed fine for the first minute or two, while I let it warm up whilst sat on the drive. But then it spluttered and stopped as I noticed a big pool of fuel under the front of the car. Off with bonnet, fuel everywhere, including sitting on the top of the engine. So I assume a leak from around the carb. Something to look at in more detail tomorrow. Hopefully just a broken clip or split pipe. -

The 390 actually had 397 hp, apparently. 3.8sec 0-60, so fast, but not crazy. About the same as a 5 seat, 2 tonne electric SUV these days. -

Just fitted my last set of 4 Avon ZZS 215 55 13 88W medium compound tyres, & the tyre fitter b*****red the bead on one of the tyres when installing - Doh!. So now I only have 3 & need to find one to make up the set. So has anyone got one with at least 70% tread left on it ? I know they're difficult to come by being the Avon factory closed down. If so contact me
