2024 Speed Series Results
Nick Algar - Competition Secretary replied to Nick Algar - Competition Secretary 's topic in Speed Series / Hill Climbing / Racing
Yes, agreed. There are some aspects which need tweaking. Given your comments I'll spend a bit more time working on what the results were within our current rules as there is some possibility to score in a different way when Competitors are split. Then circulate to SSOT, and Competitors if required. Given that we are running a different system this year, towards the end of the year, I'll be sending round a Questionnaire to ask if Competitors views and what to do for 2025. -
Gen 1 busa engine and 3.14 LSD package
DeanMegaS2000 replied to DeanMegaS2000's topic in Parts for Sale
I was really hoping to sell everything as a package. The diff matched with the engine helps make the whole package more desirable. I bought it off someone who had used it once on track in a Westfield 250, once they'd realised the ratio was all wrong for their application. -

2024 Speed Series Results
Smudge62 replied to Nick Algar - Competition Secretary 's topic in Speed Series / Hill Climbing / Racing
For my 10 pence worth I think the scoring system still needs to be fine tuned, on my entry for Gurston I entered Class 11 - Modified Cars - Specialist Production Cars any capacity and both Mark Claxton & Mark Bishop entered Class 4d - Road Cars - Specialist Production any capacity, it seems a bit unfair that I took points away from both Mark's who were on road tyres while I am running on slicks. -

Sorry I missed you off David, I'll check for others as well, but it will change the scores as I just used those in the WSCC class to score. -

Ah man, I kind wish I lived a bit further north! The Peaks is just a bit too far for a sensible morning out for me. -
Forgot to mention it's on Gaz shocks and just noticed I put on an older picture, here is a current one. 🫣

I did the same upgrade to mine, definitely makes the car more lively and makes the old "heel and toe" action so much fun! -

Perfect weather for a Peaks run today! 9am just south of Derby with Ben, Dan, Lee, James, Paul and myself. Tim joined us as we were setting off. A quick stop north of Derby to collect new member Mark and we headed for the wide open spaces of Derbyshire! A good hours worth of fun B road blatting before landing at Monyash to find it rammed full of bikes! Having spent so many days out with @Julie Hall - WSCC AO Representative , the internal satnav kicked in and I diverted the long way round to the Bull 'i Thorn where Glynn joined us maming whooshing noises.... hopefully it's just his new turbo 😂 The Bull 'I Thorn used to be a regular haunt of ours but we hadn't been back since its reopening. Glad we did as the breakfasts were lovely and could sit out in the sunshine to stuff our faces! When everyone was suitably refreshed, the gang started to head their seperate ways so I took the opportunity to give Mark a sample of 9,000rpm with a quick passemger ride. Having come from bikes and owned some fast Porsches, Mark is already thinking about upgrades to his ITB'd Zetec 😂 Mark also fancied stretching the legs of his car a little now he was getting used to it, so the two of us had a more spirited little convoy on the way home until he peeled off near Derby. Cracking day out, hope you all had a laugh and got home safely 👍 -
I am booked up for this, are there any of the northern contingent who fancy a day out. There is a wide variety of vehicles that attend and activities on the day. June 2nd if your free.

Fast road or track focused. Full cage, chrome yellow, mini lite wheels, which if I end up keeping the car I'll get refurbished, (or if any one is interested in the car, I'm happy to get them done prior to selling). The engine is a 2.0 zetec black top originally bought as a new engine and build by Northampton Motorsport, this engine has done around 7,000 miles I believe. I have a rolling road print out showing 200 bhp, but I've since replaced the exhaust for a raceline manifold and a 6" Wunoff re-packable silencer at a cost of £1200, would like to think it makes a few horses more, but it breathes better whatever. It's also had a new radiator (Coolex), a recent service, new pipercross air filter, oil filter and plugs. It has Wilwood 4 pot calipers and discs up front, drums rear (although I've never found the car wanting for stopping power as I would think it'll be under 600kgs comfortably). Type 9 straight cut gearbox, and a Westfield LSD. Carbon front wings, carbon dash, carbon seats. Virtually all the hoses have been changed for red silicone. I've decided to sell as I originally bought the car to do track days with my boy but at 6'5" he's just too big to fit in! I've only used it for runs out and it's been totally reliable. £11500

Nice to hear of one with such high mileage. Mine was one of the first built (1993) and I’m still only on about 3000 miles!
