Soft bits for sevens are the best in my opinion

I made one of these for my own car, and have a few spare sets manufactured as back ups. The kit will come with the metalwork needed to make the unit. You would need to make 8 folds, and then bolt the parts together. The folds would depend on the exact measurements of your car. I will send out some instructions to use as guides, but you could customise it further if you wanted to. I can price in fixings if you need however you may wish to use your local supplier. Some additional modifications may be needed to suit your car, but it fits in my SEIW nicely without fuss. The main features are a cubby to put stuff, and the switch panel which can be replaced if you later choose to change the switches, without changing the whole front piece. There's also a small compartment on the top, out of sight to hide things under the dash. I've priced them close to what I paid, I just want them to find a new home! There's a bunch of photos attached to show the parts and the assembly of mine. Hopefully these can be if use to someone! I have 1 full kit in stock, however I have 2 sets that's are missing the side panels, which I can remanufacture if the demand is there or you can make your own. £53 posted or £50 if collected from Hailsham. Are there other suppliers out there that make wet weather roof's for our cars or is it direct from Westfield if you don't go down the custom route? Hi what diameter is the silencer. Did it come of a Westfield. Very subjective but what tone sound did it make. Cheers Dafydd

bush_install_tool Drawing v1.pdf Tried to get all the information on ones sheet - tolerance is pretty loose on this as long as it fits. It should be pretty self-explanatory in how it is used. The tube component has a rebate for the wishbone so fits on one way around. The part that fits on the end of the tube is designed to be reversible - so is used one way around with the tube for removal, then the other way around without the tube for install. The smaller component is used for removal of the old bushing (and install of the new one) and has clearance for the inner crush tube on one side to ensure it presses against the outer metal sleeve of the bushing.

I fitted one to my Tiguan, unfortunately I’m away at the mo and all the info is at home. There is a thread on the MK2 Tiguan forum, as Sooty says you replace the number plate light, installation was quite easy, but you have to re-code the ecu. If you are ok with odb readers and so on you should enable to do it.

Super idea. Do you have the dimensions of the bits? I've got all the rear bushes to replace and don't have a press either.

Finally managed to find time to make a tool for removing/installing suspension bushings as I don't have a press.

Sun tan lotion is nasy stuff! Apart from stopping sun burn. Never thought we'd ever see a thread on a motoring forum on Sun Tan lotion 😆

Adding suspension too - replaced with Siltech front and rear. Has done 17k miles from 2016 Mega S2000, in fair condition. I have left the rose joints and metalastic bushes, all serviceable. Reducer spacer in rose joints. Rear... £250 plus P&P Front widetrack, gen 3. missing one lower wishbone, incl upper and lower joints £175 plus P&P Andy

OT but never touch anything painted, plastic or similar after using an insect repellent with DEET in it. It's a better solvent than Acetone.

DON'T You may get rid of the silicone but you will never get rid of the white smears of sun tan lotion on the paint/gel coat. My ex wife insisted on covering herself and our son before going out , Three cars paintwork was ruined where they touched the car . I tried all sorts of solvents to remove it and it looked gone and then came back a few days later .

Man gets arrested when caught rubbing suntan lotion into his car and whispering sweet nothings into its wing mirrors 😂
