You mean Maurici turning up at 2am and bouncing an MR2 off the limiter? -
Managed to driver both this afternoon - Westfield hour trip around nearby hills, MNR 15 min as it is not road legal and screaming!! ..ouch.. really loud on revs . In the end eletric reverse on MNR failed (even when IT was working , caused so much electric power drops, so voltage drops to 5#6 V and ecu and engine stops) , I was never convicted to this design (starter motor + gear wheel on propshaft). Tempted to get rid of reverse (bike engine CBR1000rr) . But maybe Is there any proper and realiable reverse solution for BEC cars??? Or just - get out of car and push?

I have two 205 60 13 R888R in my garage. Brand new in cling film. They are now Ā£475 Plus VAT šš Each š¬š¬ I'm kidding. I do have them but they're not for sale as my rears are almost toast. If I spot any for sale though, I will alert you ASAP -
Tyres for 7's Speed Series

I currently run Nankang AR1 185 60 13 front and 205 60 13 rear. They are 5 years old and so I think that it's time for some new ones. To try and reduce high speed corner exit understeer I plan to fit 205s on the front as well. I'm not impressed by the Nankangs so thought I'd try the Toyo Proxes R888R. But there are none available. Apparently Toyo pulled out of the UK at the beginning of the year so the only way to obtain them is to order a container load which most tyre retailers can't afford to do. Demon Tweeks apparently can, but the lead time including ocean freight is 6 months, so there will be none available until the end of August. Are there any other options? -

And welcome from nearby Bewdley. I haven't been able to get to any area gatherings yet but final retirement beckons so that should change! I'll be at Malvern, hopefully see you there.

PRICE REDUCED! -
The first two paragraphs seem a little redundant now..... š Check the float levels. The bowl in the carb should hold enough fuel to get you around a sharp bend or roundabout without cutting out. If the float levels are too low then you might not have such a "reserve". At the same time check cables into the spark ECU and coil pack just to be sure there's nothing loose that's cutting spark with lateral g forces. Give the cables a wiggle when the engine is running - if there's an issue with the wire you should get the same effect. There's a good few threads on what you need for changing from carbs to ITBs if you have a dig around in tech-talk.

Hello and welcome to the club. I'm pretty new here to, just about to turn a year since getting my car at the weekend. The club is fantastic, lots of friendly people and a wealth of knowledge too. Just waiting on delivery of Rainsports too, but i don't think that I'll be using Mytyres again in a hurry š Nice car and miby see it in person one day, I'm down in North Lanarkshire. Happy motoring.

Just to elaborate on issue above - the electrical plug going to the ignition seems to be the potential issue. Must have a loose wire or bad connection as when touched while running it cuts the power for a fraction of a second. Assuming the forces when going round a bend might be enough to cause this movement. Fingers crossed.

Hi folks, Recently joined the forum after purchasing a 2002 SEiW last weekend from a colleague. Had various cars over the years with high power but nothing has compared to the fun I had driving this home last weekend, pure joy. It currently has a 2ltr Zetec Silvertop with twin carbs. Recent rebuild of engine with Raceline head and cams. Plans are to swap the carbs for ITBs, refresh the suspension and then just enjoy. Took delivery of some Pro Race 1.2s and Rainsport 5's this week so they will be first up. One question I have is today when driving it in to work (after filling up), it cut out a couple of time on when either on a bend/turning/omn a roundabout. It's a very quick blurp and then fine again. Assuming something to do with fuel starvation but cant figure out where its came from. At the same time a slight squeal has started which seems to be coming from manifold side not the front. Anyway, great car and great fun. Hopefully meet some of the local members at some point š Arran

Not to steer you away from Westfields but Dax Rush/XCS Dieci are a larger 7 if it become a real problem. But as already mentioned come along to Westfield Avenue at Malvern and you'll get a chance to see and hopefully get a chance to sit in all the diffferent permitations of Westfield.

I think your be pleased with the footage with the damper as mounts go a little more expensive compared to some but loads better than most. -
I took it to my friend who has some experience with it, did have a go myself though.

I'm not convinced about the damper yet, but my mate swears by it. Really need to road test it and probably a bit of tweaking too. -
