Having removed the rear arch protectors I need to fill the holes that are left behind and then I'm planning to use vinyl wrap to create new arch protectors, just like I did on my previous Westfield. I'm using knifing putty to fill the holes and then sand it flat again using various grades of sanding paper.
Yes, it looks awful, but it's flat and the wrap will cover it all

One of my cooling pipes had been rubbing on the bonnet and gradually worn a big groove in the aluminium. Took it to my local welder (Precision Welding Northampton) and for a little bit of cash it looks like new again!

As a tall person, I hate filling up the car (and with an average 18.7 MPG I'm on a first name basis with my local forecourt). The solution is easy, moving the filler to the top. That did involve removing the angled part of the fuel tank, but I devised a way of doing it in-situ by using a sponge jammed into the filler neck which blocked any debris/swarf from entering the tank itself. Then a simple 90 degree hose and a hole in the boot panel to finish it off.
Just need to find something to hide the hole in the back... but I've got a plan for that
