Take down started
The take down started yesterday, and I'm still going. What a mess these Westfield looms are. Fortunately I'm ditching a few switches and power feeds as I no longer have a windscreen but still...!
Didn't take too long to extract the dash from the scuttle and I've stripped it now and will use as template to cut out a cheap bit of ply as a tester. I've also removed the heater at long last.
Thanks to Adam Reeves, I reckon I've sorted the Savage switching too.
Here's a pic of the Koso main loom (the thick black shiny thing hanging out of the connblock) in place. I've used connblock for now rather soldering as I may well need to revert back (although that fills me with just as much dread...). I've also used another connblock to provide earth points. I'm going to assume I should at least earth everything that used to be, although the feeds should earth via the Koso.
I had to have the scuttle off in the end as I pulled the switched-live wire off the back of starter-block whilst trying to connect in the Koso
From a distance it looks like a nightmare
I note that the carpet is torn, this was hidden by the centre console so not sure where to go with this now...
I'll get back to it tomorrow, hopefully in a position to test fit and at least get the basics going. Then I need to think about the speedo feed which will need the Koso supplied sensor fitting...
Onwards and upwards.
