Armed with white spirit, brake cleaner, cloths and wire brushes attacked all the nooks and crannies to make it as clean as possible. I'm changing plans slightly; originally I was going to use carpet glue to stick the carpets down, which requires a very clean surface, but now I think I will be using Sikaflex instead as it would provide the same bond, but is a lot more forgiving on the surface prep.
Next step, making carpet templates...

I bought the carpet nearly a year ago, but it's taken up until today to do something with it. Quite difficult to get the dimensions right, but my first panel is done

Have not appreciated how much Sikaflex EBT+ is required to fix one panel of carpet, so I ran out! Ordered 3 tubes from CPC which should be ample.
Fortunately I still had a small job to do: fit my CTEK dash panel

Nearly done now. Just the back panel and tunnel top to complete.

Luxury plush carpets!

Spend: £39.00
Another small job I'd postponed until today is fitting the Firmtec Sequential Shift Light which Santa kindly brought me. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to do anything so I will have to remove scuttle/dash again and see what my wiring is like.
Seats back in, carpets done, tax paid for... bring on Spring!
