Fabricated a muselet which should hopefully prevent the filler cap from popping off again.

Continued with fitting the DRLs and after testing it over and over again put the dash back in (had it off as much as I could without removing steering wheel) and tightened the scuttle back discovered that the DRLs would go off as soon as I started the engine... Grrr! Too late in the day to do something about it as I want to drive it to work tomorrow. Should be easy fix though, so maybe I can try at lunch time.

After asking for help on the forums, we concluded that a small load resistor was required to stop the DRL units thinking that the indicators were on, and hence switching off. Tried a few resistor values I had at home, but in the end it would only reliable work if I hooked up a 'ballast' indicator bulb. So it seems I just need a 6 Ohm, 50 Watt resistor as used in many LED conversion application. Nothing I can get today though.

After washing the car, I installed some 4mm thick rubber mudflaps which should hopefully cut down on the amount of road crud being stuck to the rear arches.
