blog-0834237001357495801.jpgFirstly thanks for all the welcome messges - hopefully will get along to a local meet soon enough.

Sunday is working out to be my Westfield day and some progress made today.

Got the brake lines in front and rear which proved taxing for my feeble brain manipulating the pipe bender in 3 dimensions, but did it without sacrificing any of the tubes. Next need to turn the chassis for the front to rear brake line and fuel lines.

After reading Dommos blog I noticed that the panel for the drivers footwell is incorrect - I have blindly riveted all the ally panels in place (manually I may add - none of these air riveters for me - oh no) and now realise that the GRP or plastic panel clutch side is missing from my starter kit. Still a quick call to my best mate Adrian at Westfield, has put that right.

Took to thinking about the Diff mounting and have a question. The front sleeve which is already in the diff is 8mm - why do I need to remove this to put a 7/16 sleeve in? Cannot I just use an 8mm bolt and drill out the mount bracket to fit this? What have other SDV builders done?

Will try to keep updates coming - Cya

IIRC i only had one diff sleeve in my kit. i just left the long one already in the diff in situ. I think it was the front one i removed that was in two sections to instal the westfield one. No issues when istalling in the chassis :)
