Saw these lights a while back, but could not find them anywhere for sale other than Australia. Luck would have it that one of my friends has moved there and happened to have his dad over for holidays. Had them delivered to his place and then smuggled back to the UK in his dads suitcase.

They are slightly to big for the arches, so some careful cutting/sanding with a Dremel saw them fit as well as they can.

Bought a cheap oil catch tank and installed it on the scuttle. Not liking the '2 pipes in, 0 out' configuration, so ordering a T-piece and a breather filter to do it properly

My replacement high level brake light arrived so after a quick test connected it to the wiring I'd put in the previous time.

It's very bright, but with the side lights on, the brake lights are ever so slightly on too, so it is leaking current. Will order some diodes to stop that.

Came back to car after work and discovered a treacle of oil alongside the scuttle running down. Damn cheap oil catch tank from China was leaking at the bottom. Cleaned it all up and limped home. Not helped by the gear knob which decided that today was a good day to part with the gear stick.

Back home took the catch tank apart and used as much PTFE tape as I could on every connection, so fingers crossed this will hold. If not, it will go straight in the bin. Gear now replaced with the Richbrook Westfield version, but as the stick is 10mm and the knob is 15mm, had to pad the top with tape and the grub screws are on the small side. May buy some longer grub screws in the future to alleviate that.

With the catch tank no longer leaking (yay!) and a T-piece arriving in the post, I plumbed it all in so that the crankcase breather and the filler cap are in-line, so that the natural flow of oil mist would stay in the engine. At least, that's the theory ;)

Also put current blocking diodes on the high level brake light and added a resistor to dim the side light slightly to make a bigger difference with the brake light.

After being stopped three times by concerned motorists telling me that my rear lights were acting like a mobile disco I thought the fault must lie in the connector I put in, but when I took it apart I saw the following in the corner of my eye

Looks like I didn't tie the cable down properly, or one of the cable ties snapped, but the net result is that I've got some soldering to do to repair it...

Put the car on stands again to fit the replacement starter bolts, but when I took the bonnet off I was greeted with this

No idea what happened, or why it happened (and especially since this cap is just as loosely fitting as the old cap), but it happened and we'll have to move on. Ordered new (same) cap and will invent a locking mechanism to prevent it happening again.

I'm all for visibility and when I spotted some nice DRL/indicator lights on Ebay I ordered them with a view of embedding them into the cycle wings.

First I needed to create some brackets to hold them in place

Then mark the cut out on the cycle wing and attack it with the Dremel

And finally after lots of sanding, filing, and my new best friend, Gorilla glue, it looks like this

Onto the sides, we simply drill a hole for these tiny indicators
